Video - Watch HDB Digital System™ In Action: Printing On Poly Bags!

August 18, 2020

Recently, we introduced our HDB Digital System™, a white underbase system specifically formulated for hybrid digital printers.   What is a hybrid digital printer? Hybrid printers combine a screen printed underbase with an inkjet-type printed image. Watch this video by M&R of a hybrid print run with its Digital Squeegee DS-4000. The video features International Coatings' HDB Digital System underbase and David Edward Byrd’s iconic artwork. The image was printed on polypropylene bags!   [embed]https://youtu.be/UgwYy5898HA[/embed] The HDB Digital System™ allows digital garment ink to be printed wet-on-wet for faster printing. HDB (Hybrid Digital Base) enables sharper resolution, better color and wash fastness.   Hybrid prints can be printed up to four times faster than traditional DTG printing and HDB inks typically cost a quarter of digital white underbase inks.   The print featured in the video was achieved using our HDB Synthesis Receiver Base™ (Parts A and B). After printing was completed, the bags were cured at 280°F for 3 minutes.   The HDB Digital System™ is available through International Coatings’ exclusive network of distributor companies.
