New Video: Guardian™ Bleed Blockers in Action!

January 02, 2019

Got dye migration issues on those tough-to-print polyester or synthetic performance fabrics? Guardian™ Bleed Blockers to the rescue!

Our Guardian™ bleed blockers are formulated to stop bleed on tough fabrics by absorbing the dye coming from the fabric. Its low-cure characteristics further help in stemming the bleed.

International Coatings offers two Guardian™ products - a conventional plastisol Guardian Gray™ 7043 and a Non-PVC AXEON™ Guardian Black™ 1240.  (Both formulations are of course, non-phthalate).

The video showcases the AXEON™ Guardian Black™ 1240 being printed on a highly volatile red 100% polyester performance fabric. The print designs consists of three figures to better showcase the ink. The first figure (far left) is printed solely with the Guardian Black™. The middle figure is printed with the Guardian Black™ as an underbase, then printed over with a low-bleed white. The third figure (far right) is printed with just a low-bleed under- and overcoat.

We printed a similar print using the Guardian Gray™ 7043 as well, with the same results shown later in the video.

See the difference! The figure without the Guardian™ underbase started turning color (pink in this case from the red dye of the fabric) shortly after curing.
