Create Soft Prints with Plastisol Inks

March 08, 2012

There are several ways to achieve a soft hand with plastisol inks, one of which is to use a soft-hand additive.  Here is a quick tip recently published in Printwear's Tip section, from International Coatings' Product Manager, John Hatcher: Choose one that is a curable soft-hand additive and add 10 to 15 percent (by weight) to a regular plastisol. More may be added, depending on the hand desired. However, please note that diluting the ink with any type of additive will change the ink’s opacity and therefore affect the color or color matching ability. For more on soft hand products, check International Coatings' Product Bulletin page and check out the Soft Hand Enhancers section. International Coatings manufactures a complete line of phthalate-compliant screen printing inks, including a wide variety of whites, specialty inks, special effects inks, color matching systems, additives and reducers.  For more information on our products, please visit our website at www.iccink.com.     International Coatings:     The Intelligent Choice
